Talisman: Prologue
Talisman: Digital Edition

Description

Nomad Games was formed in 2011 by a small team of veteran digital developers with the aim of bringing exciting tabletop gaming experiences to the mobile audience. At the core of this mission is working with leading brands in the tabletop arena, including Games Workshop (Talisman and Warhammer 40K), Alderac Entertainment Group (Smash Up), Asmodee (one of the fastest growing board game companies in the world) and now a game based on re-imagining the iconic Fighting Fantasy game books by godfathers of the British Games Industry, Ian Livingstone and Steve Jackson. With a growing audience of over half a million players worldwide, Nomad Games is about to unleash a new type of game - Fighting Fantasy Legends…

History

Early history The five directors; Don, Carl, Rob, Mat and Andy have all worked together for many years, at Digital Image Design, Rage Games, Juice Games and THQ Studios UK, designing and creating a variety of games ranging from flight simulators to chart busting driving games. In 2011 they morphed into a much smaller team, to focus on their passion for niche indie table top games.

Nomad was initially approached by Games Workshop to create a game based on the Talisman board game. The guys were thrilled to have such a respected license and straight away set about designing their first game, Talisman Prologue. The game uses the same rules as the board game, but is a single-player game and sets the player on a series of quests. Initially released on PC, the game was very well received by Talisman fans, who had been waiting many years for an official game. This led to the development of the multiplayer version Talisman Digital Edition and its ever growing expansions.

Supporting Charity

Nomad Games works with SpecialEffect, a charity which provides bespoke technology to people with physical disabilities, allowing them to enjoy gaming. The Shaman character from Talisman is single handedly raising money for SpecialEffect. She’s no ordinary character, she’s was designed by fans during a fierce competition in 2014, and brought to life by three SpecialEffect artists and gamerswith disabilities. This collaboration between Talisman fans and SpecialEffect has meant a new character for the Talisman board, and during the first 12 hours of her going on sale she sold over 1000 copies! Proceeds from the sales go to support SpecialEffect, and fans can pay what they like in a bid to raise even more money for this worthy cause.
