AN INTRODUCTION TO THE NOMAD GAMES STUDIO
Howdy everyone!
Recently, we realised that while we’ve been putting out all these awesome games and working on cool projects, we haven’t actually taken time to properly introduce ourselves as a studio. So let’s fix that!
Here at Nomad, we're a group of highly experienced developers with a wide range of development disciplines. Our founders have been responsible for pioneering proprietary technical engineering for a number of multi-million selling, cross platform video games. So we’ve got a lot of experience backing us up!
We've taken all our hard-earned experience and refined it further over recent years with our work on modern gaming platforms, from consoles to mobile devices. Our C++ engineers seamlessly replaced an existing gaming engine that was retired from service, without causing any downtime or issues for any of the thousands of players (this was part of the Talisman PS4 update!). More recently our team has been busy updating a classic video game that is more than a decade old with Nomad technology so that we can remaster it for a whole new generation of players across a wide range of gaming platforms.
In addition, we are especially proud of our studio’s capabilities with Unity development. Our Unity team has not only created some of our more recent cross-platform games using Unity, they have also assisted other studios (such as our friends over at Electric Square) in creating exciting, successful games.
Through our own games, we've implemented many Live Ops features and continuously worked to improve our titles post-launch to make sure our players get the high quality experience they expect from us. In over 10 highly successful years of supporting Talisman: Digital Edition, for example, we've released more than 50 pieces of downloadable content, and countless free updates from characters to major game upgrades and extensions. We want to make sure our players keep coming back for more, especially if they show they have an appetite for more content!
Going forward, we'll be sharing interesting insights into how we work, news about exciting projects and work we've done with other developers - so stay tuned to our Facebook, Twitter and here on our official website.
