TALISMAN PS4 UPDATE LAUNCHED

Hi Talisman fans!

Today we’ve launched an update for Talisman: Digital Edition for PlayStation, which brings the PlayStation version of the game in line with the PC, mobile and Nintendo Switch versions of the game! If you already own Talisman: Digital Edition on PlayStation, simply launch the game and you should be prompted to download the update. If you’ve not already bought the game on PlayStation, you can find it here!

We’ve been working super hard on this update over the past year, and we want to take a moment to thank everyone for their patience and understanding as we worked behind the scenes to update the game for you.

We also imagine you’ve all got a ton of questions about what exactly this update means, so we’ve compiled some answers to what we expect will be common questions below:

I bought Talisman on the PS4 already, do I need to do anything?

All you need to do is launch Talisman: Digital Edition and you’ll be prompted to download the new update that is now available!

What happens to the content already included with Talisman on PS4?

When we originally launched Talisman on Playstation, we launched it with The Reaper, The Frostmarch, The Dungeon, The Highland, The Sacred Pool, The City and The Nether Realm expansions included as part of your purchase. These expansions are still included when you purchase Talisman: Digital Edition on PlayStation, and anyone who has already bought Talisman on PlayStation will of course still have those expansions too.

How much better is Talisman on PlayStation now?

This update combines all the different updates, improvements and fixes we’ve put into Talisman: Digital Edition over the past 4 years into one huge update. We’ve been testing the new version heavily, and compared to the current version available it’s a huge transformation!

What happens to my current save games once I update?

Because this new version of Talisman: Digital Edition runs on an entirely new engine, we sadly won’t be able to carry over your old saves onto this new version. So if you’ve got any games you’re desperate to finish, do them before you update!

Is cross-platform play available now that the PS4 edition is the same as the other platforms?

Sadly not! If this is something we see a lot of demand for though, we can properly look into all the different challenges we’d need to overcome to make this a possibility, and if it’s even possible!

What about all the new stuff that’s come out for Talisman since?

Since we last updated Talisman: Digital Edition on PlayStation, we’ve released a wealth of awesome expansions, characters and extra content for the game. As of this update, you’ll be able to purchase any of this new content you’d like to expand your game through the PlayStation Store.

Of course, you’ll get all of the free updates we’ve added to Talisman: Digital Edition such as the Challenge and Profile updates, and the countless quality of life improvements we’ve implemented into the game.

I have a PS5, will Talisman work on it?

It will do! Talisman: Digital Edition will work on your shiny new PlayStation 5, if you’ve been lucky enough to get your hands on one!

I’ve already bought things for Talisman on other platforms, can I get them on PlayStation too?

While this is something we looked into the possibility of doing, sadly we weren’t able to offer cross-platform purchase syncing for between the PlayStation version of Talisman: Digital Edition and other platforms. This is due to a mixture of technical and licensing issues, so we can’t imagine this changing in the future either, sadly!

What about the PS Vita version of Talisman?

While we were about to update the PS4 version of Talisman: Digital Edition, we were sadly not able to do the same for the Vita version.

Where can I talk to you about this update?

As always, you can join the conversation and ask us questions through all our social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram! Or if you’d like to join our lovely Discord community, you can find it here.
