TALISMAN CONFIRMED FOR XBOX

Hello Talisman fans!

Today, we’re happy to confirm that we’re bringing Talisman: Digital Edition to the Xbox One and the Xbox Series X | S! Check it out on the Xbox store!

Following our recent successful update for Talisman: Digital Edition on PlayStation 4, we’re excited to bring Talisman to even more people and players. This will also be the first time we’ve ever brought one of our games to Xbox, which is why we’re kicking off with our most popular game.

If you’ve (somehow!) never played it, Talisman as a board game has been around since the 80s, and nearly 40 years later we’re still doing our part to bring this much-loved classic game to a whole new generation, wherever they might be playing. We’re hoping that bringing the game to Xbox will help a whole new group of people experience the joy of reaching the Crown of Command, and the thrills of turning your friend into a toad right before they win.

As usual, we figured you’d all have some questions about exactly what this will look like and what this will mean for Xbox players - so we’ve put together some answers for you below!

When will the game be out on Xbox?

Right now, we’re not quite ready to announce a firm release date for Talisman: Digital Edition on Xbox. As soon as we’re ready though, we’ll be announcing it on our social medias, email newsletters and everywhere we can shout about it!

Will I be able to get expansions and characters for it?

We’ll be launching the Xbox version of Talisman: Digital Edition with all the extra content we’ve created over the years available to purchase.

I already own Talisman: Digital Edition on another platform, can I get it on Xbox for free?

Sadly not! While some of the platforms that you can buy Talisman: Digital Edition do support cross-platform syncing of purchases, this isn’t something that we can do with the Xbox version.

Will Talisman on Xbox offer cross-platform multiplayer?

We also looked into letting players on different platforms play against Xbox players, but sadly we couldn’t implement this for a number of reasons - both technical and due to restrictions on different platforms.

It’s something we’d love to offer in the future, but right now Xbox players will be battling against Xbox players only.

What about signing into my Nomad Account?

Once again, this is something that we looked into offering to Xbox players - but just like the PS4 version, there are technical reasons we can’t offer you the ability to sign into your Nomad Account on the Xbox version of Talisman: Digital Edition.

If I buy the game on my Xbox One, will I be able to then play it on my Series X | S?

You will! Talisman: Digital Edition will be fully compatible with Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. 

Does this mean that you’ll bring more games to Xbox?

We certainly would like to! Just through the process of bringing Talisman: Digital Edition to Xbox, we’ve learned a heap about their submission processes, developing for Xbox and bringing a game to the platform.

Right now, we’re working on a number of exciting projects while we make the finishing touches to the Xbox version of Talisman, but once we’ve got some more time we’re very much hoping we’ll be able to bring even more digital board games to Xbox.
